Here a few hints to get you started.

  • Be on the lookout for odd-looking “from” email addresses, especially when it doesn’t match the brand it’s claiming to come from
  • A large amount of urgency in an email is a red flag and meant to throw you off balance
  • Emails or other communications asking for personal information should also raise suspicion
